    What did God first reveal to man as the rule for his obedience?  The rule that God first revealed to man for his obedience was the moral law.Where is the moral law summarized? The moral law is summarized in the Ten Commandments.What is the sum of the Ten Commandments? The sum of the Ten Commandments is to love the Lord our God with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our strength, and with all our mind; and to love our neighbor as ourselves.Can obedience to the law of God save your soul? “By works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe.”  What is faith in Jesus Christ? Faith in Jesus Christ is a saving grace, by which we receive and rest upon him alone for salvation, as he is offered to us in the gospel.

     Forgive them all, O Lord: our sins of omission and our sins of commission; the sins of our youth and the sins of our riper years; the sins of our souls and the sins of our bodies; our secret and our more open sins; our sins of ignorance and surprise, and our more deliberate and presumptuous sin; the sins we have done to please ourselves and the sins we have done to please others; the sins we know and remember, and the sins we have forgotten; the sins we have tried to hide from others and the sins by which we have made others offend; forgive them, O Lord, forgive them all for his sake, who died for our sins and rose for our justification, and now stands at thy right hand to make intercession for us, Jesus Christ our Lord.  AMEN.                                                                                                                   by John Wesley

     Christian, how is Jesus our Mediator?

    The Lord Jesus, in his human nature united to the divine, was sanctified, and anointed with the Holy Spirit, above measure, having in Him all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge; in whom it pleased the Father that all fullness should dwell; to the end that, being holy, harmless, undefiled, and full of grace and truth, he might be thoroughly furnished to execute the office of a Mediator and Surety.

    CCLI# 11156644

    Should nothing of our efforts stand, no legacy survive;
    Unless the Lord does raise the house
    In vain its builders strive.
    To you who boast tomorrow’s gain
    Tell me what is your life?
    A mist that vanishes at dawn,
    All glory be to Christ!

    Chorus:  All glory be to Christ our king -- All glory be to Christ;
    His rule and reign we’ll ever sing -- All glory be to Christ!

    His will be done, His kingdom come
    On earth as is above;
    Who is Himself our daily bread,
    Praise Him the Lord of love!
    Let living water satisfy,
    The thirsty without price;
    We’ll take a cup of kindness yet
    All glory be to Christ!
    (Chorus)

    When on the day the great “I Am,”
    The faithful and the true,
    The Lamb who was for sinners slain
    Is making all things new.
    Behold our God shall live with us
    And be our steadfast light,
    And we shall e're his people be
    All glory be to Christ!
      (Chorus)
