    Music for Meditation/Welcome and Announcements/ Testimony/Prelude

     “I have trusted in your steadfast love;my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.

    I will sing to the Lord, because he has dealt bountifully with me.”

    Psalm 13:5,6

     Salutation and Call to Worship         Psalm 96:2-3                              Rev. Hausler

     *OpeningHymn                       “I Stand Amazed”

    I stand amazed in the presence of Jesus the Nazarene,

    And wonder how He could love me, a sinner, condemned, unclean.

    Refrain:How marvelous! How wonderful! And my song shall ever be:

    How marvelous! How wonderful! Is my Savior’s love for me!

    He took my sins and my sorrows, He made them His very own;

    He bore the burden to Calv’ry, and suffered and died alone. (Refrain)

     When with the ransomed in glory His face I at last shall see,

    ’Twill be my joy through the ages to sing of His love for me. (Refrain 2x)

    *Opening Prayer and Confession of Faith                               Heidelberg Catechism, Q. 60

    Christian, how are you righteous before God? Even though my conscience accuses me of having grievously sinned against all God’s commandments and of never having kept any of them, and even though I am still inclined toward all evil, nevertheless, without deserving it at all, out of sheer grace, God grants and credits to me the perfect satisfaction, righteousness, and holiness of Christ, as if I have never sinned nor been a sinner, as if I had been as perfectly obedient as Christ was obedient for me. All I need to do is accept this gift of God with a believing heart.

    “The first and most important thing to be said about true worship is that it is to honor God.

    If what we call worship is not God-centered and God-honoring, it is not worship.”

    James M. Boice

    “Men will never worship God with a sincere heart, or be roused to fear and obey Him with sufficient zeal, until they properly understand how much they are indebted to His mercy.”
