Christ the King Presbyterian Church - OPC - 10:00 AM

    Music for Meditation/Welcome and Announcements

Missions Report          Ben and Heather Hopp: OPC Haiti Mission

     Prelude

Psalm of Preparation         “All People That on Earth Do Dwell”

All people that on earth do dwell, sing to the Lord with cheerful voice.

Serve him with joy, his praises tell, come now before him and rejoice!

Know that the Lord is God indeed; he formed us all without our aid.

We are the flock he surely feeds, the sheep who by his hand were made.

O enter then his gates with joy, within his courts his praise proclaim!

Let thankful songs your tongues employ, O bless and magnify his name!

Because the Lord our God is good, his mercy is forever sure.

His faithfulness at all times stood and shall from age to age endure.

Salutation and Call to Worship         Psalm 95:1-7                              Rev. Hausler

*Opening Hymn             “Praise to the Lord, the Almighty”                        Hymnal #53

*Opening Prayer and Confession of Faith                               Heidelberg Catechism, Q. 60

Christian, how are you righteous before God? Even though my conscience accuses me of having grievously sinned against all God’s commandments and of never having kept any of them, and even though I am still inclined toward all evil, nevertheless, without deserving it at all, out of sheer grace, God grants and credits to me the perfect satisfaction, righteousness, and holiness of Christ, as if I have never sinned nor been a sinner, as if I had been as perfectly obedient as Christ was obedient for me. All I need to do is accept this gift of God with a believing heart.

“God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit.” 1 Peter 3:18

Hymn                                        “I Hear the Words of Love”                           See bulletin insert
