Christian, who is the mediator of the covenant of grace? The only mediator of the covenant of grace is the Lord Jesus Christ, who, being the eternal Son of God, of one substance and equal with the Father, became man in the fullness of time, and so was and continues to be God and man, in two wholly distinct natures and one person, forever.
Why was it necessary that the mediator should be God? It was necessary that the mediator should be God so that he might sustain and keep the human nature from sinking under the infinite wrath of God and the power of death; so that he might give worth and effectiveness to his sufferings, obedience, and intercession; and so that he might satisfy God’s justice, procure his favor, purchase a special people, give his Spirit to them, conquer all their enemies, and bring them to everlasting salvation.

Christian, who made you? God. What else did God make? God made all things. Why did God make you and all things? For his own glory. How can you glorify God? By loving him and doing what he commands. Why are you to glorify God? Because he made me and takes care of me? Can you see God? No. I cannot see God, but he always sees me. Does God know all things? Yes. Nothing can be hidden from God. Where do you learn to love and obey God? In the Bible alone.
